Troubleshooting

Widgets aren't showing

1. Open the campaign in the admin, click Publish and look at the Test campaign in store checks — fix anything red.
2. Confirm the Summer Upsell app embed is enabled in your live theme.
3. Confirm the matching widget block (e.g. ✨ Summer: FBT Bundle) is added to the right template of the live theme.
4. Confirm the campaign is Active, not Paused.
5. Check the trigger — Specific products (the default) only renders on the products you picked.
6. Remember that only one campaign per widget type renders on a page.

Discount isn't applying

• Check that the discount is enabled on the campaign and the value is greater than zero.
• Check that your store isn't at Shopify's limit of 25 active automatic discounts — if it is, the campaign's discount couldn't be created. Free a slot and save the campaign again. See Discounts.
• Summer discount functions: open Discounts in your Shopify admin and confirm the discount named after the campaign exists and is active. Existing code: make sure the code is active and valid for the offer products.
• Code-based modes apply the code to the cart when the shopper adds the offer — if you add the product from the theme's own button instead, no code is applied.
• The discount applies only to products added through the widget — the same product added from elsewhere in the store isn't discounted.

Recommendations are empty

• Automated recommendations: Shopify has nothing to recommend for that product yet. Set up related / complementary products in the Search & Discovery app.
• Summer AI: select at least one trigger product, confirm you have credits left on the Pricing page, and click Generate in the editor.

Upgrade notice won't go away

The notice stays while attributed orders exceed the plan limit. Approve the upgrade in Shopify, or open the Pricing page from the notice to compare plans, downgrade or cancel.
