Installation

Install from the Shopify App Store

1. Open the Summer Upsell listing on the Shopify App Store and click Install.
2. Approve the requested permissions (see below).
3. You'll land on the Summer Upsell Dashboard. The Free plan is active by default — no credit card required.

Permissions used

Summer Upsell asks only for what its features need:

• Products — to list products and variants in the campaign editor and keep a copy of your catalog for fast widgets and AI recommendations.
• Discounts — to create, update and remove the automatic discounts attached to your campaigns.
• Themes (read) — to check whether the app embed and widget blocks are in your live theme.
• Orders (read) — to attribute a paid order back to the campaign that produced it. This is what fills in conversions and revenue in Analytics.
• Markets & locales (read) — to list the languages your store publishes for translations.
• App proxy — so widgets load campaign data through your own shop domain instead of a third-party host.

Summer Upsell does not request access to your customers, and it never edits orders. From an order we keep only the campaign, the revenue of the items added through a widget and the timestamp — no shopper names, emails, addresses or payment details. Your store's contact email is used for onboarding and account emails.

Uninstalling

Remove the app from Settings → Apps and sales channels. Your plan is reset to Free and any paid subscription ends. Campaign settings are kept, so they are still there if you reinstall.
