Troubleshooting

Widgets aren't showing

1. Confirm the Summer Upsell app embed is enabled in your active theme.
2. Confirm the matching widget block (e.g. Summer: FBT Bundle) is added to the right template.
3. Confirm the campaign is Active (not Draft or Paused).
4. Check the trigger rule — specific products only renders on the products you picked.
5. View page source and check for summer-widgets.js. If missing, the embed isn't loaded.

Discount isn't applying

• Check that the discount is enabled on the campaign and the value is greater than zero.
• Open Discounts in your Shopify admin and confirm a Function-backed discount exists for the campaign.
• If the discount mode is trigger_in_cart, the trigger product must be in the cart at checkout.

AI recommendations are empty

• For Basic AI: ensure the trigger product belongs to a collection or has tags shared with other products.
• For Summer AI: confirm you have credits remaining on your plan.

Auto-upgrade modal won't dismiss

The upgrade modal is intentionally non-dismissible while orders exceed the plan limit. Approve the upgrade in Shopify, or downgrade is not possible until the next billing period. Contact support if you need to dispute the order count.
